Our role at Winchester House during the coronavirus pandemic is to support our children and their families in order that our pupils make the most progress during this time.  Our staff have worked hard to design an age appropriate online learning offering for Winchester House children.

We have developed our own online learning platform ‘House Online’ which forms the basis of our e-learning for our Upper School children (age 7-13) and is being used in conjunction with Google Classrooms and both live and pre-recorded lessons are available to children.  We are continuing our educational and pastoral provision for our Pre-Prep children (age 3-7) through Tapestry and our ‘House Online’.  Together these give us opportunities to share interactive sessions and instruction directly with our children for activities and learning in a flexible way to suit each family’s circumstances.

Admissions Process

Prospective pupils may be registered for admission at any time after birth and children can join the Nursery in the term in which they reach their third birthday. The Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep schools are all located within the school grounds offering a seamless transition through the school for those that join at the younger ages. Older children are welcome to join us at any age provided we have spaces. Common entry points are Nursery, Reception and as children enter the Upper School in Year 3 and it is likely that groups of children will join at these times. However, children can start at the beginning of each term in any year group.

To ensure that a place is available for your child, please complete the Registration Form that is available from Jessica Baker on 01280 846497 or jessica.baker@winchester-house.org and return it to the school as soon as possible, together with the Registration fee of £100 (which is not refundable).

Winchester House is a non-selective school but children joining us in Year 3 and above may be asked to complete some brief assessments with us, in school, to help us gauge their abilities and make the right preparations for them prior to their arrival. Please read our admissions policy for more information.
